These earrings draw inspiration from Għar Ilma“the cave of water” a historic freshwater spring in Santa Luċija, Gozo. Historically, Għar Ilma was vital for Gozo: in the 19th century, the local authorities built an aqueduct to carry water from the spring in Għar Ilma to the island’s capital. Over time the aqueduct fell into disuse, but the springs and their legacy remain — a symbol of life, renewal, and connection to Gozo’s land.
