About Daniel Formosa

Rooted in Malta. Crafted by Hand.

Daniel Formosa is a Maltese jewellery brand born from a deep connection to the islands — their traditions, their symbols, and the quiet pride of a culture that has endured for millennia. Each piece is handmade, carrying with it the spirit of the Maltese archipelago and the stories of the people who have shaped it.

The Inspiration

Our collections draw from the living heritage of Malta and Gozo. The Ħabbata, the Luzzu, the Xemx — these are not merely decorative motifs. They are symbols of identity, of belonging, of a way of life passed down through generations. The Għażżiela tradition of Gozo, with its intricate handcraft and quiet dedication, is a constant source of inspiration for how we approach our work.

Names like Concetta and Pietru Pawl run through our collections as a tribute to the people and stories that give these islands their character. We believe jewellery should mean something — and ours does.

The Craft

Every Daniel Formosa piece is handmade with precision and care. We work with 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, finished with 18k gold plating — a combination chosen for its durability, its beauty, and its suitability for all skin types. Our jewellery is hypoallergenic, tarnish-resistant, and built to be worn every day, in every season.

We do not cut corners on materials. The same attention given to the cultural story behind each piece is given to the quality of what you hold in your hands.

Where to Find Us

We are proud to be present across the Maltese islands, with three physical locations where you are welcome to explore our collections in person.

  • Sannat, Gozo — Triq il-Kalkara
  • St. Paul's Bay, Malta — Triq il-Lampuki
  • Marsa, Malta — Spencer Hill

Our team is always happy to help you find a piece that speaks to you — whether as a gift, a keepsake, or something simply for yourself.
